KAPATAD Kitchen and Cafe fulfills the lifelong dream of the Franco family, who migrated from Santa Rita, Pampanga to Austin over a decade ago, bringing authentic Kapampangan recipes passed down through generations from parents Francisca and Zoilo to their seven children. The restaurant's name 'Kapatad' means 'sibling' in Kapampangan, reflecting their cooking philosophy of preparing each dish with love as if cooking for family. Known for house-made specialties like their own ube ice cream for halo-halo and authentic Filipino dishes alongside Chinese-American classics, they use only fresh ingredients and passionate preparation to deliver the taste of home to Austin's Filipino community.
